Concept:
Katsuki’s minimalist paintings pay homage to their most fundamental elements, the paint and the single stroke. The paint is the protagonist in this story, with the single stroke plays the antagonist, asking to be repeated, to be fixed, to thin out the paint, reduce its potency. However, Katsuki has tamed the single stroke. The vibrant blue paint used in Katsuki’s work is an ancient Egyptian pigment known as lapis lazuli.
香月の作品のテーマは「絵具」だ。材料としての絵具ではなく、絵具を主役とした作品を作っている。絵具を主役とし作品を完成させるために試行錯誤を繰り返した末に、描く行為を画面に施せば施すほど、絵具よりも描く行為が前に出てしまうことに気が付いた。そのゆえに「最小限の行為／一筆書き（One stroke）」のみで作品を完成させるというルールを定め、それに従い制作をしている。世界最古の合成顔料は3500年前にエジプトで作られた青色だった。それは「作られたラピスラズリ（作られた青）」と呼ばれていた。それゆえに香月は作られた絵具の象徴として青を使用している。

Through her “One Stroke” approach to painting and use of ancient blue pigment - lapis lazuli, Katsuki is able to create powerfully captivating work.
2016年 京都造形芸術大学大学院 芸術表現専攻ペインティング領域修了。受賞歴に「トーキョーワンダーウォール2015」TWW賞 (東京)、2016年「第三回CAF賞」入選 (東京)、「a.a.t.m.2016」shu uemura賞(東京)、2017年「第32回 ホルベインスカラシップ」(東京)。展覧会・アートフェアに2016年 個展 福住画廊 (大阪)、「Insecure tide land」未藝術空間 WINWIN Art (台湾)、「Sasaran International Art Festival 2017」(マレーシア)、グループ展「uJung Art Center 」(韓国)、2018年 「Artist’s Fair Kyoto」 (京都)、「ART BUSAN 2018」 (韓国)、「International Art Camp Ⅱ-2018 Solo・Indonesia」 (インドネシア)等。青を使用した最小限の行為「一筆書き（One stroke）」のみで完成させるというルールを定め、豪快なペインティングを制作する。
