【Important】Notice of Revision to Kyoto City Accommodation Tax Rates

Based on the Kyoto City Accommodation Tax Ordinance, an accommodation tax has been in effect since October 1, 2018. Due to a revision of this ordinance, the accommodation tax rates will be revised for stays from March 1, 2026 onward.

■Previous rates (for stays until February 28, 2026)
Less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200
JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500
JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000

■Revised rates (for stays from March 1, 2026)
Less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200
JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400
JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000
JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000
JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000

*The revised tax rates apply to all stays with check-in on or after March 1, 2026, regardless of the reservation date or payment timing. *For stays spanning the revision date, the applicable tax rate will be applied to each night accordingly. *The accommodation tax is calculated based on the room rate per person per night, excluding consumption tax and meal charges.
The accommodation tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid separately at the property upon check-in.

京都市では、「京都市宿泊税条例」に基づき、2018年10月1日より宿泊税が導入されております。このたび同条例の改定に伴い、2026年3月1日（日）ご宿泊分より宿泊税の税率が変更となりますので下記の通りご案内申し上げます。

■ 改定前（2026年2月28日までのご宿泊）
20,000円未満：200円
20,000円以上50,000円未満：500円
50,000円以上：1,000円

■ 改定後（2026年3月1日以降のご宿泊）
6,000円未満：200円
6,000円以上20,000円未満：400円
20,000円以上50,000円未満：1,000円
50,000円以上100,000円未満：4,000円
100,000円以上：10,000円

※本改定は、ご予約日やご宿泊料金のお支払い時期にかかわらず、2026年3月1日以降にチェックインされるすべてのご宿泊が対象となります。 ※改定日をまたいで連泊される場合は、改定日前後それぞれの日程に応じた税率が適用されます。 ※宿泊料金（1名様1泊あたり）に応じ、税区分は現行の3区分から5区分へ変更されます。 ※宿泊税は、消費税や食事代等を除いた素泊まり料金に対して課税されます。
なお、ご宿泊料金には宿泊税は含まれておりません。
チェックイン時に、現地にて別途お支払いをお願いしております。

Concept:

The room represents ’Tōru’, a beautiful and hazy Noh Play that is set in Rokujo-Kawarain-Ato (mansion), which is close to BnA Alter Museum. This is the district where the red-light scene flourishes after the Edo period and evokes the rise and fall of the Medieval Period in Kyoto.

The scene envelops the hallucinatory events of the Fukushiki-Mugen-Noh style play ’Tōru’ by using key motifs such as the fantasy of the moonlight, the mystical model of the waterfront, the panoramic view of the ancient capital, and the graceful dance under the moon. This work of art encourages patrons to relive the feeling of these metaphysical events in the play with models that resolve and transform into the various parts. It leads to a “Heterotopia” - an alternative transformative and contradictory space or non-space, here connected to the dream state of the Noh play in two parts.

"ホテルから程近く、中世京都の栄枯盛衰の気配を潜め、江戸期以降は色街も広がった「六条河原院跡」が舞台の、美しくも朧げな能楽 『融（とおる）』をイメージの土台にする。月光の幻想性、水辺の不可思議な模型世界、古都のパノラマ的光景、月下の優美な舞など、複式夢幻能『融』の幻覚的な出来事を、様々な部品に分解・変容するメタフィジカルな「模型遊び」の中で旅行者に追体験を促し、「ヘテロトピア（異在郷／他なる場所／反-場所）」へと導く。

前場（劇前半）の「青い」月光が照らす満潮時の光景から、後場（劇後半）の真夜中〜明け方にかけての「白い」月光の世界へと、イメージが鮮やかに転変する能楽「融」の設定にもとづき、青と白を基調とした303と403は、互いに青白を反転させたイメージで作られています。"

Born in 1976, Osaka. Kyoto City University of Arts graduate, degree in Japanese Painting.
In 2001, Nakano formed artistic unit Paramodel. Using metaphysical “model play” as a based, Nakano works across diverse mediums, in the process coining words like Paramodel- concept behind using railway toys in his art. Inspired by years of working in a library, Nakano draws inspiration from literature, philosophy, cartoons, architecture, local culture, traditional arts, and more.

1976年 東大阪生まれ。2002年 京都市立芸術大学大学院絵画専攻日本画修了。01年 ユニット活動開始、メタフィジカルな「模型遊び」をベースに、多様な形式の作品を発表。造語「パラモデル」や鉄道玩具使用の発案など、中野が概念化、拡張した構想も多い。個人活動では、11～17年 図書館勤務を経て、テキスト-描画-空間表現を軸に、文学・哲学・漫画・建築・郷土文化・伝統芸能などからの触発による創作を続けている。
