【Important】Notice of Revision to Kyoto City Accommodation Tax Rates

Based on the Kyoto City Accommodation Tax Ordinance, an accommodation tax has been in effect since October 1, 2018. Due to a revision of this ordinance, the accommodation tax rates will be revised for stays from March 1, 2026 onward.

■Previous rates (for stays until February 28, 2026)
Less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200
JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500
JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000

■Revised rates (for stays from March 1, 2026)
Less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200
JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400
JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000
JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000
JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000

*The revised tax rates apply to all stays with check-in on or after March 1, 2026, regardless of the reservation date or payment timing. *For stays spanning the revision date, the applicable tax rate will be applied to each night accordingly. *The accommodation tax is calculated based on the room rate per person per night, excluding consumption tax and meal charges.
The accommodation tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid separately at the property upon check-in.

【重要】京都市宿泊税 税率改定のお知らせ

京都市では、「京都市宿泊税条例」に基づき、2018年10月1日より宿泊税が導入されております。このたび同条例の改定に伴い、2026年3月1日（日）ご宿泊分より宿泊税の税率が変更となりますので下記の通りご案内申し上げます。

■ 改定前（2026年2月28日までのご宿泊）
20,000円未満：200円
20,000円以上50,000円未満：500円
50,000円以上：1,000円

■ 改定後（2026年3月1日以降のご宿泊）
6,000円未満：200円
6,000円以上20,000円未満：400円
20,000円以上50,000円未満：1,000円
50,000円以上100,000円未満：4,000円
100,000円以上：10,000円

※本改定は、ご予約日やご宿泊料金のお支払い時期にかかわらず、2026年3月1日以降にチェックインされるすべてのご宿泊が対象となります。 ※改定日をまたいで連泊される場合は、改定日前後それぞれの日程に応じた税率が適用されます。 ※宿泊料金（1名様1泊あたり）に応じ、税区分は現行の3区分から5区分へ変更されます。 ※宿泊税は、消費税や食事代等を除いた素泊まり料金に対して課税されます。
なお、ご宿泊料金には宿泊税は含まれておりません。
チェックイン時に、現地にて別途お支払いをお願いしております。

We are proud to announce the opening of our first exhibition, "TO SELF BUILD", a group show by Japanese artists Akiyama Buku, Muku Kobayashi, Taro Komiya, and Yumi Nakata. This exhibition is symbolic of BnA Alter Museums "life sustaining metabolic process", a cycle of showcasing dynamic art fueling inspiration, imagination and action, inciting future exhibitions. Artwork will be exhibited in our uniquely designed, 10 story, 30-meter vertical Staircase Gallery, SCG. Through SCG, we aim to present our visitors an alternative art experience in turn inspiring and altering their perception.

この度、BnA Alter Museumでは同施設内SCG (STAIRCASE GALLERY)にて、5月25日より、開館より初となる企画展”TO SELF BUILD"を開催致します。この企画展は、アートプロジェクトBnA Alter Museumが自身を変容し続けるための"代謝機関"として企画されました。本展では、秋山ブク、小林椋、小宮太郎、中田有美の4名の作家を取り上げます。それぞれが特定の表現領域に収まることのない展開を試行する作家たちです。今回は各々が、施設内階段に沿った計31メートルの縦型ギャラリースペースという特殊な展示空間に呼応すると同時に、本プロジェクトがこれまでの建築及び制作おいてに纏った力場を読み取り、編集し、実験することから、代謝ともいうべき制作展示を行います。代謝とは生の一過程であると同時に、自らの領域を広げて変容していくことであると言えるでしょう。 来場者に、来場者自身の領域を拡大させる契機となることを願っています。

  • Buku Akiyama

    2001, Akiyama established his "composition" found art installation series, an arrangement of random objects, accessories and everyday items already existing in the exhibition space; galleries, stores, warehouses, public spaces and event venues. 2017 saw this RL concept pulled online to social media platforms, creating floating installations in order to transcend Akiyama's unique interpretation of space and material. Photos can be found under the #table_arrangement.
    From 2016 Akiyama, has been producing live art installations under the series name “situations” where he continually arranges and rearranges the work during the exhibition period.

  • 秋山ブク Buku Akiyama

    2001年より「コンポジション」シリーズとして、ギャラリー、店舗、倉庫、公民館、屋外公園、催事場、図書館などのその場にある備品だけで即興的に空間を構成する作品を作り続けている。2016 年より、一旦構成した作品を会期中に、自ら、あるいは協働者の力を借りて何回も組み直す「シチュエーションズ」を始める。2012 年より、モノとその場所が1対1で対応する作品シリーズ「プレイスメント」を始める。2017年より、レストランやカフェのテーブル上の備品や配膳された食器類を即興的に組み合わせ、その写真をSNSに投稿する「#table_arrangement」を始める。

  • Muku Kobayashi

    Born in 1992, Tokyo. Graduate School of Fine Arts, Kyoto City University of Arts, Masters Program.
    Kobayashi is a mixed media installation artists that combines audio, visual and kinetic elements in his work.

  • 小林椋 Muku Kobayashi

    1992年 東京都生まれ。2019年 京都市立芸術大学大学院美術研究科修士課程彫刻専攻 修了。キネティックな動きによってささやかな音を発する音響装置から、近年ではヴィデオカメラやディスプレイといった映像機材などと組み合わせたインスタレーションを制作している。主な展覧会に「プールの輪にワニ」(ギャラリーN,2018)、「ローのためのパス」(ギャラ リー16,2018)、「エマージェンシーズ!032『盛るとのるソー』」(ICC,2017)、「無・ねじらない」(コ本や,2017)など。時里充とのユニット「正直」などで活動。

  • Taro Komiya

    Born in 1985, Kanagawa. Graduate of Kyoto University of Art and Design, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Ph.D.
    Komiya creates paintings, photography and trompe-l’oeil (optical illusion) like installations that affect the viewer’s preconception.

  • 小宮太郎 Taro Komaya

    1985年 神奈川県生まれ。2016年 京都造形芸術大学大学院芸術研究科芸術専攻(博士)修了。絵画や写真作品をはじめ、モノを回転や振動させて残像を見せる立体作品や、空間を利用したトロンプ・ルイユ（Trompe-l'œil、騙し絵）的なインスタレーション作品などを制作する。また滋賀県大津市にてシェアスタジオ「山中suplex」を立ち上げ、運営に関わる。展覧会企画や、アーティスト・イン・レジデンスなど様々な企画を行っている。

  • Yumi Nakata

    Born in 1984, Nara. Graduate of Kyoto City University of the Arts, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Ph.D.
    Since 2014, Nakata has been producing a series of works under the title "Near and Far" using a mix of mediums traditionally used for self-portraiture, oil paint, and more modern art mediums, inkjet print, to produce art that pulls the viewer in the work itself.

  • 中田有美 Yumi Nakata

    1984年奈良県生まれ。2016年 京都市立芸術大学美術研究科博士課程油画(博士) 修了。2006年より絵を描きはじめる。2014年より、近代までの自画像の制作システムから絵画の要件を抽出して条件づけた制作シリーズ「Near and Far」に取り組んでいる。実際の空間に背景となる自作の壁紙をパノラマのように展開し、等身大のジオラマ状の空間を制作する。作者はその中で複数の任意の視点を設定し、「見たまま」を描く。描かれたキャンバスはインクジェット出力された壁紙と同時に「絵画」として展示され、それぞれが対応しながら複合的な鑑賞体験をもたらしている。
