【Important】Notice of Revision to Kyoto City Accommodation Tax Rates
Based on the Kyoto City Accommodation Tax Ordinance, an accommodation tax has been in effect since October 1, 2018. Due to a revision of this ordinance, the accommodation tax rates will be revised for stays from March 1, 2026 onward.
■Previous rates (for stays until February 28, 2026)
Less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200
JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500
JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000
■Revised rates (for stays from March 1, 2026)
Less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200
JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400
JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000
JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000
JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000
*The revised tax rates apply to all stays with check-in on or after March 1, 2026, regardless of the reservation date or payment timing.
*For stays spanning the revision date, the applicable tax rate will be applied to each night accordingly.
*The accommodation tax is calculated based on the room rate per person per night, excluding consumption tax and meal charges.
The accommodation tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid separately at the property upon check-in.

【重要】京都市宿泊税 税率改定のお知らせ
京都市では、「京都市宿泊税条例」に基づき、2018年10月1日より宿泊税が導入されております。このたび同条例の改定に伴い、2026年3月1日（日）ご宿泊分より宿泊税の税率が変更となりますので下記の通りご案内申し上げます。
■ 改定前（2026年2月28日までのご宿泊）
20,000円未満：200円
20,000円以上50,000円未満：500円
50,000円以上：1,000円
■ 改定後（2026年3月1日以降のご宿泊）
6,000円未満：200円
6,000円以上20,000円未満：400円
20,000円以上50,000円未満：1,000円
50,000円以上100,000円未満：4,000円
100,000円以上：10,000円
※本改定は、ご予約日やご宿泊料金のお支払い時期にかかわらず、2026年3月1日以降にチェックインされるすべてのご宿泊が対象となります。
※改定日をまたいで連泊される場合は、改定日前後それぞれの日程に応じた税率が適用されます。
※宿泊料金（1名様1泊あたり）に応じ、税区分は現行の3区分から5区分へ変更されます。
※宿泊税は、消費税や食事代等を除いた素泊まり料金に対して課税されます。
なお、ご宿泊料金には宿泊税は含まれておりません。
チェックイン時に、現地にて別途お支払いをお願いしております。

Ryuichi Ohira
大平龍一
Concept:
A gold-colored wall of “5-yen” coins. The five-yen coin serves as a symbol of faith at shrines and temples. Ohira has created a room where “5-yen” and “fate” are connected within Kyoto, a place known for its many shrines and temples. Ohira hopes to foster connections between past, present, and future patrons, adding to the hotels history.
金色に輝く「五円」の壁。五円玉はご縁の象徴として神社仏閣でお賽銭の代表硬貨として日々活躍している。今回大平は日本でも特に寺社仏閣の多い京都という地域に「五円」と「ご縁」が繋がってゆく部屋を作る。ホテルの歴史と共に、宿泊者同士のご縁が繋がってゆくことを願う。

Artist: 大平龍一
Born in 1982. Tokyo University of the Arts graduate, DFA in department of sculpture.
Japanese artist, sculptor and researcher represented by NANZUKA gallery (Tokyo) and Vera Munro gallery (London). Ohira engages in philosophical research to explore human life, consciousness, and the study of sculpture; centering on installations, life theory, body theory and cognitive science. In addition to creating works from gold-accented carbonized wood, Ohira creates large-scale installations exhibited domestically and internationally.
Ohira’s work, “SICF 6th” SPIRAL, received the Mori Art Museum Director, Nanjyo Fumio prize in 2005 and the Ataka prize in 2006.
1982年生まれ、日本の芸術家、彫刻家、研究者。東京芸術大学大学院 美術研究科彫刻専攻で博士号(美術)を取得。NANZUKA(東京)、VeraMunro Gallery(ドイツ)所属。彫刻、インスタレーション、生命理論、身体理論、認知科学の分野を中心に、人生と意識を探求する哲学的研究及び民俗学と宗教学による彫像の研究を行う。炭化させた木彫と金色を特徴とする作品を制作するほか、大型インスタレーションなど国内外で制作発表する。2005年「SICF 6th」SPIRAL にて森美術館館長南條史生賞受賞。2006年安宅賞受賞。
